Fler

click-click, I get bigger….

Sunday nights are for relaxing in my book, and I’m thrilled to be doing so on a new addition to the household, a Fler suite. Well, new to the house, but it’s about 40 years old itself! The sofa will be seen in future posts but for this evening this is just a little look.
The Art Gallery of South Australia tells us:

A friend of mine asked if I wanted to have a look at his grandfathers house who passed away earlier in the year. His parents were in the process of selling the entire contents of the house as they had a family home of their own with no where to put any of his furniture.
His house had been outfitted in the 1960’s and the furniture had been lovingly cared for and beautifully preserved ever since.
I’m thrilled to be able to give the furniture a new home, like the clothes I buy from places like Clara Fox(see shopping directory for details) it is always lovely to hear the story behind something that is being passed on, and I love giving a new home, to something made long ago.
The decal on the wall is from a friend of mine and artist Ryan L Foote- you can guess why I love it.
