My new sweater

I’ve had my eye out for a pom pom sweater for ages so to randomly stumble upon this in a shop in Melbourne gave me all sorts of joy. The sales assistant looked at me like, ‘Really? You really want to purchase this?’ but I think the gif above shows just how happy I am(if you want to watch it again just refresh the page).

I like clothes that have a quirky and humorous edge and I think that what ever you wear it should make you happy. I bumped into Coffee Boy(potentially a new character on the blog) the other day who used to make my coffee when I worked part time as a PA in town to supplement my income. In trying to remember each other I said, ‘Oh well I used to dress quite differently, I was probably in corporate attire when I used to come here.’
‘No I don’t really think so, I don’t think you could classify the way you used to dress as corporate. It was more like, ‘well I have to wear this but you should all know that I have a life out of work and love fashion.’

I always thought that I towed the corporate line quite well so it was a jolt to hear someone else who really I barely know to give such succinct analysis of how you are perceived. Has that ever happened to you? We both laughed about it, you can’t take yourself that seriously but I suppose it showed me that way before the blog took off there was tragic fashionista screaming to get out.
