Victoriana: My new red silk shirt

This shirt is part of the Etsy purchases I made recently, the dress from yesterdays post was one of three items. This shirt actually looked like a fire engine red in the photos, but I don’t mind that it’s more of a burgundy. With my skin tone a red with more blue in it suits. It’s from Boudoir Barbie, sadly as its vintage you won’t find the exact same shirt however if you do a search for ‘red blouse’ plenty of similar items will come up.

My nails as many of you have been asking lately are still the Shellac manicure I had done at Miss Fox Day Spa here in Melbourne wait for it- 4 weeks ago! They aren’t acrylics so it has amazed me that its worn so well. My nails have grown out since then and the shellac with them, but the other day I painted my natural nail with a little silver polish, and now it looks as though I’ve got a reverse french manicure. Happy all round! I will be going to have them done again next week hopefully, but I wanted to see just how long the Shellac could last. Seems its endless!

I don’t know the name of this specific colour(sorry!) but it’s the only true coral in the range. If you end up having it done you’ll spot it immediately.

That 3rd shot is stunning. LOVE the ‘broken doll’ pose and just the glossy lips and hair showing. You look like a manequin.

The blouse looks great on, I love online shopping but I’m always reluctant to buy clothing because I’m afraid they won’t work in real life. Do you have any rules you follow when buying clothes online? (apologies if you’ve covered this in previous posts or vlogs, which you most likely have) :-)

You look great in that pencil skirt, it goes so well with the shirt. I love wearing pencil skirts but I never feel that confident in them because I only ever see size 6/8 girls wearing them.

Your hair looks amazing, did you use the modiva to do it? I’m interested because my hair is also fairly bad at holding curls/waves.

Thank you for the kind feedback you left for me.

For those of you who are reluctant to shop online – my shop is easy ~ I accept returns!

Keep up the good work, I am a fan of your site :)

Just to answer some of your questions- no I haven’t lost weight to my knowledge but I don’t own scales!

I did my hair for this shot with my old ceramic barel curling iron so thats why you don’t see a mountain of curls. It’s stil lovely but doesn’t create the hold that my Modiva one does.

I don’t have any rules I follow perse but I do look for natural fibres like silk, cotton and wool because they wear better. Ergo, if you are buying it second hand or vintage it will probably be in better condition.

I read and re-read all the measurements, and if I’m unsure I email the seller or store to check on postage.

    Thats about it!
