The Last Minute way I ended up at MBFFS…

Myself and Kirsty Harrison, brand general manager at Lastminute.com.au

Although Lady Melbourne is a one woman show and I generally find myself doing all sorts of jobs to keep things going, there are people that help me bring you coverage of events like Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival. Lastminute.com.au came on board as my travel partner for this recent trip to Sydney and without them it wouldn’t have been made possible. The importance of people like this investing in bloggers is huge: in the three days I was in Sydney not only did I cover the parades but I met 2 designers, the editor of GQ magazine, organised dresses to wear to Motorola Spring Fashion week in 2 weeks time and I almost got an interview with Alex Perry(I had an appointment but he had to fly out of Sydney on another engagement. Sad panda face). He-uge.

I met brand general manager Kirsty Harrison and Nicole Gentle (who helped to make it all happen) over coffee in the lobby of Swissotel on Market St where I stayed. We talked about all things blogging, online, travel and fashion and I discovered that we have a surprisingly similar demographic of readers/clients . I absolutely loved that she was wearing fuschia pink which is the brand colours for lastminute.com.au (although she swears it was just a coincidence!)

So a big big thank you to lastminute.com.au for flying me up to Sydney and making my stay and coverage of Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival possible. If you are looking for a Sydney hotel or cheap Sydney flights you know where to go, and don’t forget your fuschia pink!

My hotel room at the Swissotel right in the heart of Sydney. Suffice to say I made sure I slept right in the middle of this massive bed!

The Purovel products smelt of lavender.

Bloggers delight: Lastminute.com.au organised internet connection the entire time I was there which meant I could blog in real time what I was seeing. As my world revolves around the internet it made my life so much easier while I was there.
