When I visited the Mother & Father PR showroom during Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival a couple of weeks ago, you may remember that I tried on this Roxanna Zamani dress. I was kind of blown away when it was confirmed that I could borrow it to wear to Melbourne Spring Fashion Week- it forms part of her very first collection and there is only one available. As with most graduate collections they are imaginative and free from the shackles of corporate identity or commercial restraints. The student showcase is commonly the most anticipated at fashion weeks’ the world over and Zamani’s collection is no exception to this rule.
I wish absolute success for this emerging designer and hope that she can continue to show her refined eye for detail here to an Australian and international audience.
