Frocktober: Back on Track

With all the madness that was my 1000th post last week despite the fact that I continued to wear a dress every day you couldn’t share that with me so I’m quite happy to report that things are well and truly back on track.

Today’s dress is courtesy of Velour Vintage, you may remember I’ve mentioned their support of my Frocktober effort in this post. I’ll also be hosting a give away for a dress from their store so make sure you stay tuned….who doesn’t love a free frock?!

This outfit is a combination of some recent purchases, a vintage dress on loan and some online shopping. I haven’t owned leopard print shoes for at least 5 years now, and similarly to my nude heels I’m wondering why I deprived myself for so long. They make every outfit look uh-mazing so I’ve no doubt you can expect to see plenty more. I picked these babies up from Endless.com which is my new favourite online shopping haunt. They offer 25% off selected styles so I even got a discount. I can’t resist a little bargain carrot dangled in front of my nose- I’m hopeless!

The jewellery is from a store called Imagination on Swanstons St right near the Commonwealth bank down the junkie end of town. And I don’t mean junkie as in trash, I mean actual junkies.

I digress I was walking to Flinders St station the other day and spotted this relatively new shop. I popped in(it is my job after all to tell you about new places to shop in Melbourne!) and picked up this diamonte necklace for about $19(they have 10% off selected necklaces at the moment) and this tiger bracelet. I can’t remember how much it was, under $20 from memory. I’m wearing it with my Turkish necklace because as I told one of my students the other day, why wear one statement necklace when you can wear two?

What I’m wearing:

Vintage Diane Freis dress: Velour Vintage
Calf skin leopard heels: Steve Madden from Endless.com
Large coin necklace: Turkey
Diamonte necklace: Imagination on Swanston St
Tiger cuff: Imagination on Swanston St
Belt: Dotti
