Frocktober: Little Black Dress with rose gold accessories

I was going to start this post with some tired, old, cliche about how every woman should own an LBD, but then I got thinking, does everyone actually own one or have the need to? I own a lot of dresses and probably around 10 black dresses of varying formalities- cotton for summer right through to floor length sequined numbers. I have more occasions than I ever thought to wear said black, sequin, floor length number, but that might be because I’ll jump at any chance to wear it. ‘WHAT’S THAT YOUR HAVING A BLACK TIE EVENT FOR THE ANUAL AUSTRALIAN PENCIL SHARPENERS CONVENTION? I’LL BE THERE!’

LBD’S are quite easy to wear I have to say and this little number hasn’t had an outing in quite a while despite being, well, easy. I bought it at a boutique on Hampton St in Hampton, right near the railway line. I want to say that it has the word ‘wish’ in its name but right now as I type this, it escapes me. It was last year anyhow so they more than likely wouldn’t have it in stock.

I digress!

It came in a blush colour which I originally bought but pretty much walked back into the shop 5 minutes after walking out with it and exchanged it for the black. I’m glad I did because I think that you can see the lattice work around the neckline and arms much better and its had quite a few outings for after 5 events.

I think rose gold looks great with black and I’m wearing the ‘Tell Me A Lie‘ necklace from 8 Other Reasons. They’re an Australian outfit that specialise in on trend accessories that won’t break the bank. Yes please!

What I’m wearing:
Dress: As above, from a shop in Hampton St of which I cannae remember the name.
Heels: Therapy
Necklace: 8 Other Reasons
Bracelet: Mimco
Sunnies: Pinched them from The Gardener

I’m taking part in Frocktober, check out the blog post and help me raise money and awareness for ovarian cancer research!
