Just in time for Christmas (of course!), Biotherm has released limited charity editions designed by Swedish illustrator Ingela Peterson Arrhenius.
A minimum of 250,000€ from the sales of these limited editions will go to the global ocean charity, Mission Blue, founded by renowned oceanographer Dr Sylvia Earle, for the protection of the Ross Sea in Antarctica.
Their products have long used aquatic ingredients so it seems a very natural progression that they would seek to align themselves with two charities that champion the protection of the world’s water reserves and marine areas.
I’ve tried the products included in these very snazzy packs and it reminded me how nice it is to use hydrating products, particularly this time of year under a very hot Australian sun. The Aquasource 24h deep hydration replenishing gel with thermal plankton cellular water was silky smooth to apply and light as air- perfect for my oily complexion.
With Biotherm I am giving Lady Melbourne readers the chance to win one of five of these limited, charity edition packs that will include:
Biotherm ‘Biosource’ Instant Hydration Toning Lotion
Biotherm ‘Biosource’ Hydra-mineral Cleanser Toning Mousse
Biotherm ‘Aquasource’ 24h deep hydration replenishing gel with thermal plankton cellular water
All you have to do to be in the running is tell me in the comments section below why you need these Biotherm products in your life just in time for Christmas- is it Ingela Peterson Arrhenius’s beautiful illustrations or the fact that you have contributed to the ocean charity Mission Blue? Or all of the above?!
Competition closes Tuesday 18th December 5pm AEST. Winner’s will be chosen, notified and posted on www.ladymelbourne.com.au

I need these little beauties to give to my neighbour who’s skin has taken a beating during chemo. and radiotherapy for breast cancer. Thank you.
I’d love to win this gorgeous box set for my mum for Christmas, as she loves Biotherm products! The illustrations are really what does it for me, and the charity is an added bonus!!!!! Those gorgeous illustrations go perfectly with the cute wrapping paper I’m using this year… a sign?! I hope so!!!
I could tell you that I am a full-time working mother, which I am, or I could tell you that I just turned 40, which I did, and my skin needs all the help it can get, but quite simply I’m a sucker for pretty packaging and new products so that is why I need, want and lust after this giveaway! Merry Christmas!!!
It’s always nice to treat the skin with some hydration now and again – it’s easy to forget even though it peers back from the mirror every morning. And it’s nice to do a bit for the antarctic, too
Great products, pretty packaging and contributing to charity- what more could I ask for? I so need Biotherm to look after my neglected skin while I’m busy caring for my kids these school holidays!
A reputable brand and an amazing looking box, what more could I ask for?
Dear Lady Melbourne,
My freckled face would thank you so much if I won these Biotherm products. It’s Christmas time that you always want to look your best for those ‘dreaded’ family photos… this year, I want to be proud of how I look and have clear happy skin!

Not only do I appreciate the exquisite artwork on the packaging, I also love that Biotherm skincare is light and great for hydrating oily skin like mine. It’s hard to find suitable skincare when you have an oily complexion, so I’d be excited to try Biotherm out this Christmas!
BIotherm treats to care for my skin,
a piece of art to reflect the beauty within,
but most important is support for Mission Blue,
reflecting care for marine life too.
Christmas time is when i pamper everyone else i would love this to pamper myself.
I have struggled with my skin for a few years now and have tried EVERYTHING from perscription medication, change of diet and every drugstore cleanser on the market! I have acne as well as dry skin and would love to try these products! I am also a huge environut so I am pro anything that supports such an important cause. Fingers crossed!
Thats so good to hear about Mission Blue, I love when brands give generously!
Ugh I have combination skin and winter wasn’t kind at all! My skin was very, very dry in some places. It’s hard because going into summer i tend to get very oily skin. It’d be great if Biotherm’s hydration gel will be able to help fix any dry patches but not be too heavy on the oily patches.
The photo taking season has started! There’s Christmas, New Year’s, and then my birthday next month too, and I’d love my face to be looking it’s best in all those pictures 🙂
Before I buy something, I always ask my something if I need this or simply want this. While I want this for myself, I think my mother would need this more than me. She always puts everyone and everything before her and truthfully, her skin regime isn’t all that great and she’s not getting any younger! (Sorry Mum, but it’s true!) I know happy skin makes a happy person, so this would be a perfect gift for her. And knowing that I’m helping the global ocean charity is just like the feleing you get when you put the star of top of the Christmas tree.
I’ve always used what Mum used, her skin is 40 years older than mine though so I think it’s time I get something suitable for my skin.
I would love to try BIOTHERM. I’m always on the look out for a quality product.
[…] Lady Melbourne spoke of Biotherm’s limited edition gift set with heart […]
Hi Lady M and a Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you!
I too am a sufferer of oily/combination skin and struggle to find products that clean my skin clear and hydrated but that dont block my pores. The biotherm products sound great and I would love to give them a go, I’m on the lookout for some new skin products right now. I have been struggling with chronic illness for a while now and it shows in my skin, especially around my eyes.
Also, who doesn’t love a product that contributes to a worthy cause! Good on you biotherm! the beautiful packaging makes it a great Christmas gift to pamper yourself.
It would be great to try the products and see if these work for me. Everyone’s skin is different and its a try and trial process to find THE product.
Have been scrambling on to make wishes come true,
For boy 1 and boy 2.
With wishlists as long as can be,
I really don’t think there will be enough room under the Christmas tree!
After all this hard work I need a break,
Some Biotherm for me to indulge in would be great!
Lady Melbourne, I don’t need Biotherm. I need air, water, food, and purpose. I want Biotherm because I trust your judgement.
Rudolph the red nosed reindeer,
Had a very shiny oily nose.
With dry and patchy skin,
Its skin was never able to glow.
Luckily with Biotherm,
Helped rudolph moisturise it’s skin.
From then, Rudolph the red nosed reindeer,
Had silky, fresh and supple skin!
when I feel a little blue a little aqua pampering is just the ticket…Biotherm will make me feel in the pink again.
Ahem… *accept
😉
Hi Lady M and Biotherm!
My best friend moved to Melbs from the UK over a year and a half ago now. She is a dead ringer for Dita, a real English rose and I know she’ll need her creamy, porcelain complexion protecting from your sweltering heat right now! She enjoys taking care of herself so please would you send her this beautiful package to spoil her from me this Christmas. She volunteers at a homeless shelter every year at Christmas and won’t except any special gifts, she’s selfless and beautiful inside and out. Tell her it isn’t the same without her and that I’ll be there in March for sure! I follow you on Twitter with excitement, noting glamorous restaurants and cute tea rooms to whisk her off to when I get there.
Thank you for the opportunity to spoil her while she is so far away.
Merry Christmas from snowy England XXX
Listen, I am so embarrassed to share this but I have scales and I am not a fish!! Help me!!!! I need to show my legs!!! 🙂
Dear Lady Melbourne,
I desperately need these Biotherm skin products because my skin is prone to be oily and living in the hot and humid town in Mildura, north-west of Victoria means that my skin would be perfect for the aquatic products! Thanks for the opportunity LM!!
Charity donations I do regularly, But I never have money, Just to splurge on me, A Biotherm pack would be an indulgent luxury, My skin will benefit wonderfully.
So I look equally as hot and gorgeous as the festive season is making me feel, and not shrivelled up like Santa’s old sack 🙂
Gorgeous high quality products that are kind to our world – love that! I would love to win so that I can treat my skin. The past few weeks have been very busy at work, and the signs of stress are showing.
Having finished radiotherapy my skin is very very dry and in dire need of some pampering and moisture. Would love the opportunity to try their beautiful products.
My skin is starting to sag south like an old mans bum.
I love the hydrating properties of these products and with the constact need for air conditioning in my pregnant state, my skin is dehydrated. Would love to win this pack purely because it will help my skin, but also knowing that it’s making a difference in the world by assisting Mission Blue. The box would certainly be a keeper too – the design is awesome!
I’m cranky
I’m Stressed,
I’m Sleep deprived,
I’m a MESS!
Dry Skin, Uneven tone,
Makes me wanna moan!
This would be a perfect way,
For me to pamper myself…. hey =)
I suffer from dry skin with uneven tone and age spots to have these Biotherm products for christmas would be a wonderful gift that may just help with my problem skin
The design is gorgeous ,i have heard a lot about Biotherm although i have never used it i would love to try for ageing skin at 44 thankyou .
Hydrated and happy over the chrissy break
Biothirm is light and airy silky and smooth
all thats required for a great chrissy mood.
Since using roaccutane for severe acne I have been too scared to stray from my cheap hypoallergenic chemist cleanser- I’d love to boost my skincare routine with good quality products like these.
I can’t think of a better time to start looking great than Christmas and to feel great about it too, knowing I contributed to Mission Blue – it’s all warm fuzzies with beautiful illustrations to complement!
Let’s see… I have little kids, I’m getting on a bit, I work full time, my current skincare regime is a little uninspiring to say the least and I could do with a little luxury at this time of year!
I have not touched any shark’s fin in 12 years. I have also talked, preached and nagged about it to everyone around me whenever the topic comes up. And as Cat said, “once it is gone, it is all gone”. I would like to have this chance to try Biotherm as I have oily skin.
I must admit, I am yet to try a Biotherm produce. Though they do sound amazing. As a passionate beach go’er I am always on the look out for hydrating products and as I do adore the ocean I am even more passionate about preserving it. As once it’s is gone it is gone.It is great that Biotherm is combining with Ingela Peterson Arrhenius’s to rasie funds for ocean charity Mission Blue, though most of all it is creating much needed awarness.
I remember collecting the Biotherm samples as a kid, and now the opportunity to own the real deal is too good to refuse.
Never had skin care really do anything for me, I’d love to see if this works!
Hi Lady Melbourne
First of all, your blog is awesome! i love that you are Australian and the shops and products you talk about are available in Australia
i was looking for a new skin care product and this sounds absolutely ideal! and the packaging is so adorable 😀
I haven’t paid much attention to my skin this year as I’ve had more than enough on my plate with other things. Am in desperate need of a “pick me up” and pamper so this would be a wonderful surprise for Xmas. The contribution to Mission Blue is also a bonus.
Just what every girl wants for Christmas. I would love to have fresh skin ready for Christmas parties and evening feasts. Especially in this summer heat, a good scrub is needed!
I desperately need this! My nose and skin is constantly oily. I don’t want to look like rudolph with a shiny red and oily nose this Christmas! Thanks Santa phoebe!
Biotherm and Mission Blue – a collaboration I take my hat off to!
I always wanted to be a mermaid……….love the stunning illustrations!
Would love to try it out and feel good when rebuying about supporting charity!
Im heading to Alice Springs for Christmas, these products would work wonders!
With the country surrounded by ocean we need to protect our environment!!
Well 2012 has been stressful for my family and has taken its toll on my complexion. Fatigue is hard to hide, but I believe these products will go a long way to repairing damage done. And while the year has taken its toll on us, at least these products and their makers will be putting back into the world around us!
Oh the design is simply gorgeous! And well, I am a sucker for packaging! (and a fan of the brand that is for sure) … and I just turned 37 and have an 18mth – so I need all the help I can get to stay looking young(ish!)!!!
Merry Christmas Lady M,
As a diver and marine conservationist (who’ll also be spending the holidays underwater), nourishing my skin with Biotherm’s hydrating products with Ingela’s aptly themed designs would be the gold star to my Christmas tree, making me the envy of all the other dehydrated, sun burnt divers.
x
I have been using Biotherm Homme products for years. However, my wife is using another brand for her skincare regime. I desperately need something concrete and beautiful like this charity edition pack to convince her to jump ship. I totally with Alice that Ingela’s illustrations are absolutely adorable, collectable. But Biotherm is indispensable after all.
Oily skin sufferers unite!
I think it’s truly wonderful to be able to feel good about cosmetics when the anxiety animal of testing and poor environmental practice hangs over them so often. And they’re so pretty — how can that hurt?
Dear Lady Melbourne Santa, I would be delighted to get some extra care for my face as the summer sun is already creating havoc. Biotherm me please.
And agreed, Ingela’s illustrations are super fun. I will cut them out and recycle them into decorations on my Christmas pressies whilst feeling good about the fact that Biotherm are supporting one of Australia’s most worthy charities via their products.
