Why colour analysis will change your wardrobe

Shapes and how you wear them is something I’m learning more and more about at the moment, having recently had my colour analysis done by colour and image consultant Jo Shiers of The Style Advisor. Now that I’ve shot this new Boohoo skirt with this jacket, I actually think that proportionally it would look better with a cropped jacket.

Case in point, the red colour in this cape/coat isn’t on my colour swatch of compatible colours for my skin/hair/eye colour. I was taught however that if there are colours not on your colour wheel but that you love to wear, it’s important to team them with colours that do suit you, like the pale blue underneath.

It has been so eye opening learning about skin tone, the colour wheel, hair and eye colour, your signature colours and then how to wear colours that suit you. Being a details driven person I just LOVED the whole process because depending on how far you want to take it, you can expand the ideas from your wardrobe into home wears, make up and interior design.

I do have a post coming up on my colour analysis with Jo, but until then I’ll keep playing around with how it all works!
