Beauty Review: Blue Eye Liner

Lady Melbourne trying blue eyeliner

Black eye liner is great, specially when you can get a nice straight line, but how about branching out into different colours? And how do you do it without looking like an 80s throw-back? Unless you want to look like that, in which case draw onto your eyelids with wild, blue toned abandon.

I digress.

A little bit sick of wearing black all the time, I’ve tried blue of late and I’m quite enjoying myself with it. As you’ll be able to see below, the beauty of wearing coloured eyeliner is that you can subtly change the colour by applying eye shadow on top. This also makes for longer wearing liner as well by ‘setting’ it.

Next stop purple? Bronze? Suggestions?

Using the ‘Raina Contrast Eye Pencil’ in navy from Sumita. Lovely, high quality, high pigment product.

I’m using my custom Sephora eyeshadow kit I made up when I was in New York last year. This colour is called ‘Denim.’

Using the ‘Chai Eye Brow Pencil’ also by Sumita in the shade ‘light.’

I don’t usually use Rimmel products, but I’ve enjoyed using this 123 Looks Mascara that was given to me in a show bag at fashion week. You can get nice, long black lashes (just what I like!) and it isn’t clumpy either.
