‘The Eternal Headonist’ Launch

The launch of 'The Eternal Hedonist' in Melbourne

Annabel Allen, founder of The Eternal Headonist, (the a is deliberate, think about it!) has hand-picked milliners whose use of materials and technique are bringing a new perspectives to fashion millinery.

Stocking milliners including Melbourne Cup millinery award winners Rebecca Share, Love Lotus Millinery, and 2013 winner Studio Aniss, the online store will have limited edition pieces from these leading milliners as it launches its 2014 race-wear collection.

Annabel highlights progressive milliners such as Natalie Bikicki and her work with leather and PVC, Lisa Tan and Angela Menz whose millinery brings an air of fun, and the striking laser-cut leather techniques of Studio Aniss, as being refreshing examples in the millinery category. British born, Melbourne-based Annabel Allen, herself a trained milliner, noted the need for specialist headwear available online. “We can shop a well curated selection of fashion, lingerie, footwear and cosmetics online, but curated ranges of quality and fashion-forward millinery are not at all represented in this space, so we wanted to change that.”

As well as launching the racewear millinery division, The Eternal Headonist stocks a selection of seasonal fashion items; trilbys, boaters, fedoras, bridal millinery and hair accessories, as well as vintage items from esteemed designers and milliners such as Philip Treacy, Stephen Jones and Yves Saint Laurent. There also exciting plans underway to expand the range of local and international milliners and headwear brands stocked in forthcoming seasons.

Stocking: Lisa Tan, Rebecca Share, Reny Kestel, Serena Lindeman, Angela Menz, Natalie Bikicki, Amanda Dudley, Kim Wiebenga, Love Lotus Millinery, Studio Aniss and Richard Nylon.

Whilst eternally an online destination, The Headonist can’t resist a party, so pop-up events leading into the Spring Racing Carnival are imminent. The first pop-up location is: 37/220 Commercial Rd, Prahran. Opening Saturday 27th Sept – Fri 7th Nov.
