Noble Fibres

Lady Melbourne wearing the 'Capote' coat from Noble Fibres | www.ladymelbourne.com.au

Noble Fibres is an Australian label specialising in just that: noble fibres. Fear not, until yesterday I didn’t know what it meant either, but I was interested to learn that alpaca, cashmere, merino wool and fine pima cotton are known as ‘noble fibres’ because of their superior quality.

Take this ‘Capote’ coat, for example, made from alpaca wool in Peru.

I’ve worn merino, angora, cashmere and cotton before, but not not alpaca, so it was a delight to discover just how warm and toasty the fibres can be. Particularly if you are in a part of the world where it is routinely cold and blustery. Did I mention it has thermal qualities?

Bring on your worst Melbourne!
