Flat shoes as seen on www.ladymelbourne.com.au

I didn’t think I’d experience a time in my life when flat shoes became so important – which sounds like a silly thing to say, because it’s not like I get around in heels all the time, more that due to pregnancy, I’ve not worn them in months.

I can’t see a time in the foreseeable future when I’ll be wearing them regularly either, with motherhood on the horizon and practicality slowly creeping in to my wardrobe.

With that in mind, I’ve started to select some good-looking flats that are stylish and of course, comfortable. Because if there’s on thing I’ve been learning – not all flats are created equal. Just because they are indeed sans heel, doesn’t automatically make them comfortable. The materials are just as important too, with leather really being the most versatile and comfortable material.

So here’s two lovely international brands I’d not really heard of or tried but that so far, have been striding about in with comfort and style.
