The McGuire Denim Skirt

Thanks for bearing with me over the last two weeks, motherhood and all it entails is a huge adjustment to say the least! I’ll be writing about it some time soon, in the meantime I thought it was high time for an outfit post and my first one post pregnancy to boot!

I bought this skirt while I was heavily pregnant, so it was a bit of a wish and a prayer that it would fit me eventually. I had in mind separates that would work for a breastfeeding mum, and so far it’s proved a fantastic purchase as I can wear it with all manner of separate options. I’m wearing a size 28 in these photos in case you’re wondering about sizing options and buying online. I still have some pregnancy belly left over and while it isn’t as visible in these photos, the skirt does a mighty good job at sucking things in! I might usually wear a 26 or 27 in that case, but want to be comfortable so decided on this size, for this time in my life.

I think it’s false economy to buy clothes that ‘might’ fit you in the future don’t you? Plus you want what you’re wearing to look as though it fits you, not too big or god forbid too tight.

What I’m wearing:
Skirt: McGuire Denim from Shopbop.com
Blouse: Country Road
Heels: Nine West
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff
