Recently I had lunch at Instagram land. Kidding, it may as well have been because the set up at the Pandora event to launch their Mothers Day collection was truly impressive. Complete with balloon ceiling, low tables, scatter cushions and an abundance of flowers and prettiness. When the guests arrived people walked straight past the champagne to whip out their phones and broadcast their surroundings to their respective followers – not something that often happens at lunch!
Alexia Petsinis, illustrator, creative director and writer hosted guests and took us through a workshop on how to decorate and personalise our own jewellery dish. I found it quite therapeutic to sit there over lunch doodling, after a while my leg went to sleep but that was nothing a splash of champas couldn’t remedy. Behold, the balloons…
