Months ago now, I was asked to be part of a campaign for a well known children’s footware brand. We were to be winter style ambassadors (ooo la la!) and I set about calling in clothes and organising these photos.
Alas, things went pearshaped with the campaign and it wasn’t until recently that I found out it wasn’t going to be published. It was super disappointing because I had some amazing brands involved with the shoot, with the promise of national exposure. I suppose having worked in the industry as long as I have, I should have known that nothing is published…until it’s published.
Not to be deterred however, and still thrilled with the results I’ve decided to publish the photos here, because the beautiful children’s clothes involved deserve to be seen. All of them are Australian owned, designed and even made. Most are run by mothers themselves who’ve taken it upon themselves to create the kind of clothes they want their children to wear, but otherwise haven’t been able to find.
I’m so proud of these photos and grateful for the opportunity to (almost) be a style ambassador, if it wasn’t for that as the premise I wouldn’t have met the women behind these great labels. Behold!
