About

As Editor of Melbourne based fashion blog ‘Lady Melbourne,’ Phoebe Montague’s fashion commentary and style has earned her a reputation as one of Australia’s key fashion bloggers and the title of ‘Best Fashion Blog’ 2009 at NuffNang’s Asia-Pacific blog awards.

Phoebe emerged as an 18-year-old from Northcote High School determined to become a fashion journalist. She completed a fine-arts degree, ran her own fashion accessories label, spent some time in the design arts in London working with Jean Pierre Braganza and Lara Bohinc. She then went on to a postgraduate degree in journalism at RMIT to round out her training.

Among Phoebe’s many accomplishments, she has been a guest speaker at L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival and Singapore Fashion Week ,  a contributor for a range of fashion publications and was an official judge of Westfield’s search for the Westfield Insider alongside Justine Cullen, Editor of Shop Til You Drop. Phoebe was the cover girl for Peppermint Magazine’s 2009 summer edition, the first Australian blogger to make it on the cover of a fashion magazine.

Aside from the blog and freelance writing assignments she teaches blogging, social media and journalism at the Center for Adult Education(CAE) here in Melbourne and guest lectures at RMIT.
