Love Candles By Eleni

I love to hear stories about Melbourne based start-ups, specially when they manage to manufacture here as well. The candles are made using ecosoya wax, which is biodegradable and free from pesticides and herbicides. Using pure soy beans they contains no petroleum and then there’s the heavenly scents created from oils.

My Picture Wall

Over the years I’ve written about the various incarnations of my picture wall, in that it shifts and changes with my life. Where ever I travel I pick up something to add, friends are always giving me prints and of course there’s all the gems I find in op-shops.

Lady Melbourne's Flatlay of new accessories

It’s almost Christmas…

Kind of hard to believe that this year is coming to an end and it will be Christmas shortly! Whether it’s small or large gifts I do a lot of shopping as you know and thought I’d start to share my finds in regular ‘flatlays’ for your viewing pleasure. And if it’s not Christmas shopping you’re doing, then enjoy yourself none the less!

A look inside my new home

I’ve always been of the opinion that you fill your home with stories from your life- the people in it, the places you’ve been, the memories from times gone by. What I’ve shown you below pretty much all has a story attached to it, and it fills my heart with joy to be surrounded by these stories every day.

A day in the life…

There is no typical day in the life for me, in that I do all sorts of things all over the place, all the time.
Samsung sent me their new Samsung GALAXY Note II, to try and see if it could keep up with my incessant social media contact addiction, the need to take photos wherever I am and then of course share with the world.

I’m back!

I’ve been looking out at the geraniums in the garden and I’ve also had this dress in my wardrobe since September when Dr.Jones moved to Oxford to complete her PhD and was cleaning out her closet. It occurred while we’ve had super hot weather here, that I had a blog post staring me in the face with the flowers and this dress.

Neom

Just recently I was sent this DIVINE candle with a hand written note from Susie who imports Neom luxury organic candles into Australia.

Happy Friday!

Well Happy Friday to you out there!

Here is my final recent purchase from Etsy and I’m not quite sure yet but it’s vying for my favourite.

Megan Park

Last week I was invited along to breakfast to meet Melbourne designer Megan Park at her Armadale store. It was love to see her current collection, hear the stories behind how she develops the embroidery work and just to discover all the wonderful personal touches in store.

New home ware additions…

As long as something is beautiful and good quality, the price is generally(and I say generally as I’m no chamillionaire) not an issue for me. I don’t care if it is from and op-shop or designer, the way it looks and feels is more important to me.

With that in mind here are some of my recent purchases…

Beautiful Objects

I was given these delightful prints for my birthday recently by my dear friend over at Lulki. Knowing that I love illustration she gave me the bathing suit beauty from Truth be Told and the other print was $5 at a garage sale. She knows I love my ‘Chinese Lady’ print and thought this was a perfect edition.
