ust because I need another white shirt in my life, I bought this little blouse at Savers last week. I love the sunray pleats around the collar, I think it looks like I’m wearing a doily and I don’t care who says so 😉

I always tell myself when I’m op-shopping that I will not buy another white blouse, black and white dress, woven belt or trench coat but what do I find on my travels? It’s almost as though the charity gods put them in my path because inevitably when I’m out thats what I find. No matter, I’m happy with my latest purchase!
What makes you happy when you op-shop?
I’m also curious to know whether you would like me to respond to comments here on the blog, or continue to use twitter as I do all day every day. For the past year I’ve used twitter to interact with readers on a daily basis, but one of you bought to my attention that you’d like some response on these pages….so, over to you guys!

You look absolutely stunning in your ‘doily’ top. Of course the sunglass and red lipstick are winners too 🙂 Beautiful.
i love sunray pleats!
gosh, i wish i had a blouse that looked like i was wearing a doily 🙂 it’s just gorgeous
I was about to write that it would be great for you to reply on the blog (unfortunately i am not twitter-literate, which is sad considering I’m supposed to be part of the technology generation) but then I saw you already have! can’t tell you how great i think this is!
shu shu- wow, oh so right about the lace! I hadn’t consciously thought of that but it explains why I virtually never by black lace second hand.
The Glamourista- It was just jeans so I decided not to include them….too boring!
lulki- you know you’d be first on my list, but I don’t think this is going any where for a while!
Joyce aka Miss CycleStyle- hey you found a way to comment!
Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated 🙂
The top is just spectacular, can’t believe you found it op-shopping.
Personally I like responding via the blog – on Twitter you can miss the response.
lady… i think i just may need this blouse to! if you ever think of selling it (not likely…) please think of me xxx
Lady M – the blouse is divine! So ladylike and pretty. Very you. What are you mixing it with on the bottom half? A gorgeous pencil skirt, something along those lines?
White clothes just seem so much more appealing when op shopping. I have a theory that cheap white lace looks so much better than cheap black lace. Which kind of sucks as I pretty much only wear black.
I’m the same with white blouses! They’re just so innocent and perfect and if they’re sheer they’re kind of sexy as well! Gosh I love them.

chacha – glad you like it.
Kellie- it’s pretty spesh 🙂
klaus- ha ha, don’t worry, twitter isn’t going anywhere!
Miss Bias- No problem at all, really appreciated your feedback.
Rusty Hoe- red skirts- see I knew that other people were afflicted with the same op-shopping illness!!!
It usually is a time factor thing, and I do spend a lot of time on twitter…as in bordering on an addiction too much time but I will endevour to get on here more.
lori- Blazers, I never buy enough of them…thanks for the feedback 🙂
HarbourMaster- It’s terrible but I forget that people aren’t on twitter….*ducks for cover* 😉
Jodyy- thanks, they’re from Kinky Gerlinki
kasia- No problem at all! And can I just say that Kasia is one of my favourite names of all time 🙂
emma- Oh dear, really?!?!?
Lee Oliveira- Chairs!
Ruth- they are always read rest assured, it’s just a time issue trying to update here, FB and twitter. But it looks as though you all would like more of a response so I will definitely have to try harder.
Louise- good point, and to be honest I hadn’t considered it from this point of view. Blogging can be so insular sometimes so I appreciate your comments 🙂
Jaclyn Smith- Thats EXACTLY what I though…its was only $6, it would have been a crime not to buy it. As for trench’s I twittered last week that I saw an authentic Burberry Trench, size 10 in Brunswick Savers for $299.
ali- I think your *find* is pretty special 🙂 The next op-shop tour is coming soon, theres been quite a demand for it so we’re in the process of organising another one. Stay tuned!
Wild Tea Party- Mesh bags- I die! Another one not on twitter- I think it’s settled that I need to attend to comments on here more often!
Thanks so much for your feedback so far, like I said blogging can get so insular when it’s just you and your computer all day long…it’s no excuse especially if you feel like you’d like more interaction in the comments section. I will make sure I try harder every day to get on here and leave twitter alone for once in my life!

I always seem to find mesh bags…. all the time. I honestly have one in every colour! That and glazed rabbit figurines by Slyvac. They haunt me!
I would love replies via your blog – I don’t have twitter.
btw, I love your hair do!
i was in savers on the weekend… and while I love op shopping, I always tend to get bored, and can never quite find what im looking for! I need help – LM when you are you having your next op shop tours?!
However, last weekend while I was in savers in brunswick i did “find” something interesting! I literally bumped into an old primary school friend (and what is so random is that we both used to live around 400kms from melbourne)! haha!
As for replies – I like to see answers to reader questions on blogs. 🙂
How could you not buy such an adorable shirt! White shirts are an elegant and classic wardrobe staple… how lucky you are to find such gems! I’m currently on the look out for a nice trench-coat from an op shop so send some of that luck my way! xx
Ps: I also think interaction in the comments is a good idea 🙂
Lovely blouse.
Replies via the source they were asked. I think it is only polite to answer questions if readers take the time to show an interest. Afterall that is what makes blogging so interesting; the interaction factor.
It’s nice to get some feedback on the actual comments, just to know they’ve been read. I love that blouse. When I op-shop I’m usually on the look out for a good quality leather bag.
WOW… love you blouse.
and your oversized sunglasses are gorgeous

wow, you remind me of the lovely marieke hardy in this photo.
love the outfit, very cute!
i would love comments her L.M, and PLEASE, outfit details in your posts!
xo
You look so gorgeous!
Love the sunnies :P!
It’s a winner! I too enjoy looking like s doily sometimes.
For purely selfish reasons I’d like blog responses…I don’t use Twitter.
Cute!
I have had an obsession with blazers and jackets from op-shops for quite some time and have made myself a nice little collection!
also i think comments on the blog would be nice too.
xo
I’m a sucker for red skirts. Red with flowers, red with poker dots, red with a white lace overlay, red with pretty much anything. It’s a sickness really 🙂 I have a great little pre loved, plus some new stuff shop near by and they also have lay-by. If you want to pay $5 a week for a $20 skirt they are okay with that, and for me that fits my tight budget perfectly.
Comments on here would be nice but I’m realistic enough to know it is also a time factor. I like to respond to comments on my blog but sometimes I am time poor and it can be hard to keep up. I guess it’s up to you and what works for you. If you’re a twitter girl stick with it.
Lady M.
That is a very cute white blouse. Well done.
If you could post some of your responses on your blog as well as twitter, then those readers who aren’t on twitter can also benefit.
Miss Bias : )
tweet tweet tweet!
So gorgeous! What a find 🙂
=O soo prettyy! very nice !
