Dear Melbourne,
I know that you are a city that is known for having four seasons in one day, and hence you have a reputation to uphold.
You need to know however that you really have not brought summer to this fair city and my shorts and floaty singlet tops are getting lonely sitting in the draw. The other day my sandals whispered, “Lady M, I’m new, soft leather and were born to be SEEN not to languish here in your wardrobe!’
So if you get a minute, how about turning on the sun, upping the temperature and generally banishing the cloudy weather for let’s say, another two months?
Thanks in advance,
Lady M
I’m wearing:
Mac: Asos

Necklaces: Red beads were a gift from Vietnam, Silver is a bracelet I’m wearing on a chain that was a gift from Golda she bought in Cyprus. I have the best friends!

It’s better than this humidity we’re having in Sydney, making our hair go limp and our faces all sweaty.
It’s too hot to enjoy the summer fun – bring on
Autumn I say and then we can fun outside again.
i’m still paying off my air con but it was the best thing I ever did.
No! I love the cold weather and wearing all those layers..
But on the bright note to you, saturday will be slightly warmer at 29 max. haha
I feel your pain Lady M… I’m here on a visit from London and I will return as pale as ever. I can hear my colleagues questions already as I’m always saying how awful the London summer is and how (generally) hot Melbourne can be. I’ve been to the beach once and I’m NOT impressed!! NHG x
Hear hear!
What happened to wearing my sundresses as sundresses, and not as a top layer over leggings and long sleeved tops?!
I hope your plea is answered – surely it’s not too much to ask to have a bit of warm weather before we’re plunged into Winter again. Today I ended up wearing stockings and going for a walk in the evening when the air smelt of woodsmoke… those are Autumn things! It’s not right.
This summer has been a sad write off. This morning driving to work I had the heater on in the hottest month of the year. My pretty painted toenails have barely seen the sun!
Dear Lady M.
Come to Queensland. We will melt your face.

Quite right. Summer is non-existent in Melbourne this year, boooo!
Love your style here, and this is summer for us in Norway:)
Have a great day.
i honestly think melbourne’s weather is out to get us.
Yep, sums it all up really.
Bit hard to look forward to the cosy nights of autumn and long leather boots when I have been wearing them for the last month already.
It must not be too hot in Melbourne if you can wear a coat.
