Happy Friday video!

Today’s video is all about advice for PR’s or those wishing to engage bloggers. After many years in the industry I’ve come to realise that there are ways of going about getting bloggers on your side and it’s easier than you think!

  1. Thanks so much for this! Your time and effort is very much appreciated x

  2. Hi LM:)
    The google ranking tip…
I finally understood the power of key words with a post I did on a Sydney restaurant some time ago called The Hunky Dory Social club:)

Key words, and how you write is soo vital…

    Thanks for this amazing advice:)

  3. thank you so much for this, I was getting very frustrated with the amounts of emails from irrelevant PRs and will send them this link next time. Also, really great to discover you although you are on the other side of the world.

    Best from London xxx

  4. Love this video LM…do more of these.
I have been following you for a long time, and can never get enough:)

Have a great day, and greetings from Norway:)

  5. Don’t forget that bloggers are still bound by media laws, which can be different country to country and even state to state.

  6. Great vlog, Phoebe. Lots of points raised that are coming up more and more of late among the blogging community. I’ve got a great relationship with a host of PRs but it does get to me if they pitch something that is clearly unrelated to my blog – it so shows that they haven’t even read it. Georgia, there are lots of good ones out there and it sounds like you’re one of them!
PS. Can I just say that this has always been an issue – when I was journalist the same thing would happen. I’d get rung up about a product and we didn’t even have a section that would possibly include it.

  7. As a PR consultant by day and blogger by night, I found this video very interesting.
In PR, we obviously have a job to do and we need to be able to show our clients results. Unfortunately this work almost never includes having budget to spend on advertising.
I think it’s a shame that some PR people can spoil it for others, being demanding and generally just lazy – flicking off the same predictable email to all and sundry, without taking the time to get to know the media/blogger they are speaking with or even considering the relevance the story has to their readers.
Please don’t think we are all this way! I think there exists a happy medium where a working relationship between PR and media can benefit both parties.

    Georgia x

  8. Happy Friday! This is my favourite of your videos so far. Very relevant information for our (PR) industry.

  9. Thanks for making this video. There certainly needs to be more education for PRs on blogger relations. This will help!

  10. A very interesting and informative video. I think you make some really good points. Thank you for sharing.
