Ah winter how I love you! This weekend I re-arranged my winter wardrobe, pulling out some lighter coats and woolen skirts from one of my storage wardrobes. It’s sort of like going shopping when I do my seasonal swap, ‘I’ll take you, and you, and oh I forgot I owned that shirt!’
I think I’ve said before that I prefer winter above summer clothes-wise because you can wear so many more things- gloves, scarves, hats, stockings, coats, jackets, boots- the list goes on. I bought this capelet last year but its only been cool enough to wear it this last week so I’m all sorts of thrilled. I wanted to take it to fashion week with me but I had a feeling it would be too warm. I was getting around in a t-shirt some days while I did see many people trying to ‘do winter.’ Fur coat on a 20 degree day? No thanks!

I hate winter, but when you can wear fine clothes like this, especially the coats, it’s worth the cold!
Love that capelet. I miss Melbourne’s winter weather for the decadence of piling on the layers of clothing. Here on the Gold Coast, I’m only just wearing a sheer cardigan as an extra layer…

Ooh…I, too, love me some winter! Something about the crispness of the air and the fact that, if you’re cold, you just throw on an extra blanket and you’re fiiiiiine.
The capelet kicketh ass, it’s elegant and fabulous…which reminds me that I’m hankering for a new coat (a capelet would also suffice), one preferably in a deep cherry red hue (::drools::).
You are diametrically opposite to me! I hate winter with a passion, hate wearing so many clothes & hate feeling them heavy on my back. Give me summer any time. I guess that’s why fashion sells all year round eh?

I absolutely LOVE that first photo. It is so emotive. I prefer winter clothes also, other than that and the smell of fireplaces everywhere, there is not much else I love 😀
