*this is not a sponsored post. I love and use these products everyday and get asked about what make-up I use so decided to share.

Clockwise from top left: Berry Beautiful makeup pallet, Pure Mineral Face Illuminator, Pure Mineral Eye Brightener, Blushing Rose Blusher palette, Berry Beautiful lip colour in Velvet Berry, Mineral blusher in Pink Apples, Natio Blusher Brush
I think I started to use Natio products some time last year and in particular a little pot of mineral powder that makes my skin glow but is now discontinued. They’ve relaunched the product as a creme which is just as delightful even though I’m measuring out what’s left of the powder!
We can sometimes get into the trap of thinking overseas or luxury brands are somehow better than what is produced locally and I certainly wasn’t immune from that way of thinking. If I’m completely honest with you the make up pallet sat unused for a while until I needed to take my make up with me and shoved it into my handbag.
I’ve literally not stopped using it since however. I have sensitive skin, I can’t just use any old product but that aside, it’s the quality, pigment and luminosity of the products that I love.
Natio was founded in Melbourne in 1993 as a family run business based on plant based beauty products. The products are not tested on animals and most products except the brushes are vegan friendly. Rather than spending money on fancy packaging and promotion they focus of getting the product right.
Pure Mineral Face Illuminator which replaced the powder and keeps my skin literally glowing. I also use the Pure Mineral Eye Brightener which looks great in photos.

I can’t speak highly enough of this local beauty brand and what it does for my skin, now you know what keeps me looking good in my photos!

Hi,
I only have some of the Face Illuminator Cream left, and I can not find anymore, it seems they have discontinued that and the eye illuminator.
Am I right?
What are you using instead of these, or is there some way you can still get the Natio Illuminators please???
Thank you and Kindest Regards,
Bronwyn
I adore your shoes! I would love love love to know where they are from! xxx
Hi,
I’m looking for a vegan friendly preferably Australian eye brightener. The one reviewed above is not available online or at my local Myer store. Perhaps it has been discontinued? I see that they have a Pure Mineral Dark Circle Corrector online. Does anyone know if this product works as well as the Eye Brightener reviewed above?
I have used Natio too and im very happy with it so far. Great article and great photographs too. 🙂
I have used Natio for just over a year, I also have very sensitive skin and have found many products make it go dry and react. When the brand Prescriptives went out of business I was stuck as they were the only makeup company I trusted (even though it was $60 a bottle of foundation). I have since found Natio and it is a dream! Finally something that doesn’t fight against my skin and makes me glow without looking like a walking face of cake.
I’d love to see more beauty stories, particularly on eco / vegan & Au friendly brands. You look stunning LM xx
Oooh … Wait until you get to NYC… Luxury branded make up for less than half the price than that of AUS prices! I have gone crazy. Granted Natio makes some nice products – only I find their shade selection a little narrow.
Oh thank goodness they’re replaced that powder with the creme. I’ve got to get some. The Face Illuminating powder is amazing, I’m wearing it right now, and it makes your skin look so nice.
I agree, Natio is fabulous and underrated.
