Melbourne’s laneways are famous for holding all sorts of hidden treasures, and Keshett is absolutely one of them. You will find them in Little Collins Street having been at the same address for 33 years.
Paula Keshett started the business selling antique jewellery and has ‘traded up’ as she says, to now be one of Melbourne’s premier antique diamond and jewellery traders.
Art deco is a speciality, and it was with that in mind that I was given a private showing of some of their most special pieces.
It was lovely to hear their stories- yes, most of the jewellery has a provenance and story to tell whether its from Melbourne or as far flung as Switzerland or even Argentina.
A hidden treasure indeed, where you might find one of your own…

It was a gift bought at a market stall in Sydney, but I know you can find identical on Etsy. Just do a search for ‘love knot.’ 🙂
Hi,
Great blog.
I love the rings you are wearing in this picture. Where did you get the one on your left hand, middle finger (It looks like a love knot)?
Thanks,
Thank you Phoebe, we loved having you in store and showing you our pieces, and look forward to seeing you again xx
Stunning! On my daily walk at work I often stop and gaze in the window of Rutherford’s on Collins Street and gaze at their art deco beauties. But I think I am going to have to take a detour to Keshett.
