I realise things have been a little bit quiet around here lately, and not because there isn’t a lot going on behind the scenes, just that I haven’t had time to sit down at a desk and write. And I say ‘a’ desk not ‘my’ desk because really, blogging could happen from anywhere right?
Writers block doesn’t hit all that often, but when it does it just seems to freeze my brain, almost like someone has pressed the pause button.
It’s frustrating to say the least, but sometimes it’s better to fess up than wallow in procrastination. So what would you like to read about? I’m throwing the doors open to your ideas in the hope it will shift the remote control from pause to fast forward!

Ah I see what you mean! Ok, could be a bit trickier but I’ll see what I can come up with!
Oh what a great idea! I love food and coffee and drinks (basically all of it!) so I’ll start to compile a list of where I love to go in Melbourne. Thanks so much for the idea and for reading!
Love your dress! And the “clutch” is awesome! Love a bit of Daiso!

I know you are a fashion blogger and not a food blogger, but either way I would love to get your tips on the food scene in Melbourne. I actually lived in Melbourne now 5 years ago and though I try to keep myself updated in terms of cafés, restaurants, bars etc. I still have an idea I might miss a great spot somewhere in the wonderful city. I am going travelling around Melbourne in July and since it has been ages since it was the last time I vistited Melbourne and though I get dining tips from especially the guys behind Really Melbourne I would still love to get your tips. Especially in terms of coffee shops and brunch cafés. I used to go a lot to St. Ali in South Melbourne and Mart in Albert Park, but I am sure you can offer some amazing places too. Thankyou for a wonderful blog Pheobe. Always such a pleasure to visit it. Thanks! /Anne, Denmark
Thanks Phoebe. I do have quite a few Metalicus pieces as they are so comfy and you can layer them. They are great for say going out to dinner. I even wore one of their dresses to go see Ella Hooper the other night. But if you have a big event eg a wedding or a ball then it’d be lovely to have something a bit flash. And I know for me I’d love to buy from local designers if possible and support the community.
Wow Rusty Hoe- amazing question! I’m going to try and answer it for you, but in the mean time have you tried Metallicus? I know that most of their clothes don’t have fastenings. I’m on it, will ask my Facebook audience as well 🙂
Thanks so much JaneMelb, I can definitely cover those things off!
I really love your posts about where to buy chic yet affordable fashion, some ideas for summer- where to buy. Also would love posts about great cafes, high tea venues etc in Melbourne
Something I’ve been thinking a lot about lately and had thought you might know of, is Australian designers who are disabled friendly. With about 20% of the population having some form of disability we are a huge, largely untapped,, market, but sometimes finding designers who are cognisant of issues on such simple things such as how a garment is fastened (eg buttons: I may have sworn and ripped off many an otherwise gorgeous dresses whose 7,000 buttons, were so far beyond my weak and uncoordinated fingers) and still look pretty spiffy, can be an issue. I may be in a chair mostly now but I still love to frock up and would love to know of more choices, and to support local designers. I still focus on ‘pj alternatives’ for around the house, but like to feel a little special on the odd days I’m out and about in the world or out for an evening.
