Just a relaxing Sunday lounging on a chair I dragged off the street. That’s right, I saw it on the side of the road, pulled the car over and put it in the boot.
I can’t believe someone would want to get rid of it, I love the colour and velvet. I had it cleaned just to be doubly sure there was nothing wrong with it….but there’s not. Thank you universe for this delight!

What a great find! I also contemplated grabbing someone’s leather arm chair (a chesterfield perhaps?) that had been left on the side of the road. But alas, my car is too small and I wasn’t sure what the protocol is with this sort of thing :p
Those kinds of finds are the best. And that is some seriously nice velvet. So in this year – the colour and the fabric!

It ALWAYS amazes me what people discard. I’ve scored chests of drawers, wardrobes and coffee tables from the footpath….in fact quite a bit of furniture in my home is what someone else thought wasn’t good enough for theirs. It’s incredible what a clean up and a coat of paint can achieve
