See Through

Lady Melbourne wearing a sheer, oxblood blouse

The ‘sheer’ trend isn’t one I’ve paid a huge amount of attention to, in the main part because I think there’s a fine line between appearing deliberate in your decision to apply the trend, and just looking like you forgot to put on a singlet or cover certain lady bits.

That said I like the trend and enjoy it, so finally threw my hat into the ring when I bought this blouse at an op-shop. If I’m unsure about a trend I’ll usually try to find something similar second hand and try it out before I go ahead and purchase a designer or high street piece.

Does anyone else try trends out like that?

It has also given me a chance to show off this new harness from Battie Clothing that I bought on Etsy. God I love Etsy! Handmade in the UK, they can custom make to your measurements and colour as well. Such a fab find, I think I’m going to order another in nude, so that it’s barely noticeable but might just make you look twice.

What I’m wearing:
Blouse: op-shop, no label
Denim skirt: H&M
Teardrop ring: Bohemian Bardot ring from Samantha Wills
Other rings: Purchased in Petra, Jordan last year
Harness lingerie: Battie Clothing

  1. I bought a similar harness from Honey Birdette and I ALWAYS show it off with a sexy see-through!

  2. 🙂

  3. Yeah it’s hard to get right, no harm giving it a go I guess 🙂

  4. It’s a tough trend, that’s for sure!

  5. It’s so lovely. Thank you fro sharing.

  6. I don’t really like the see through look…it seems kind of tacky..I dunno. You look lovely, as always, though. I like the way you’ve done your hair casually..looks great!

  7. It looks fab on u, but i would be hesitant to do it myself 🙂
