I ride a bike, and I don’t mind trying my best to look stylin’ while I do. My mate Joyce, the one woman power-house behind Mel: HOT or NOT asked me that given I’m a lady rider, would I like to try out some new products from her online store CycleStyle.
‘HECK YES!’ was my answer so we met up and she kindly handed these over for me to try. As I am a self professed ‘bag lady,’ in that I always seem to be carrying bags of stuff around with me(I know you are out there, I can’t be alone in this affliction!) I find that shopping + bags = a hilarious lady doing a balancing act on her bike. And not at the circus.
Anyhow, if you are into making cycling look as chic and stylish as possible then take a look at a home grown Melbourne label that is trying to do just that. This isn’t an advertorial and I haven’t been paid a cent to write about CycleStyle, I just really believe in supporting my friends and local businesses. Plus Joyce is awesome!

You look great on the bike. Maybe not so practical wearing this but who cares.

I love your skirt! It looks beautiful with the floaty sleeves on your top.
lovely bicycle <3 <3
I found you over The Weekly Review you are well described, speaking of the truth in every word. You are the most stylish woman in Australia I believe!
Your hair is so elegantly styled and it looks so healthy. Aren’t you required to wear a helmet? I can’t quiet put it together.
Thanks for the shoutout Lady M! Yes you’ve certainly picked a perfect riding outfit – a knee length skirt that won’t catch on your chain or the wheels, dark fitted top to mask any ‘glowing’ and sweet ballet flats.
Oh, and of course your CycleStyle accessories look great on your bike 🙂

You’re my hero, Lady M!
Any dame that rides a bike in an outfit that chic and elegant goes to the top of my list, that’s for sure. Incredible.

You look so gorgeous and I think riding a bike in that outfit looks superb!
I actually have had always wanted to own a bike with a basket at the front! <3
I love bike riding or as I like to call it ‘Triomphing’- (Arc de Triomphe- tour de France etc…haha). I would much rather wear a cool little outfit as you do on my bike rather than lycra. Bleurgh. xx

Lady Melbourne you must be the most stylish bike rider ever! I too own a pretty retro bike too but I find it so hard to get around the ugly-helmet-dilemma that I don’t actually ride it for trips other than exercise. I wish there was some kind of lovely stylish helmet!

Clearly you’re superhuman, given that it’s currently FREEZING… and I have to ask: how do you manage a helmet +hair = style?
