Carlisle St

Last week I really lost my blogging mojo so a friend of mine suggested that rather than looking indoors for inspiration, perhaps I needed to get out of the house and take my camera with me.
And guess what? It exactly what I needed!

I really love Carlisle St in Balaclava, it’s a down-to-earth pocket in a trendy area  reserved for the beautiful people of St Kilda on one side and fashion pack central of Prahran on the other. Plenty to offer both those worlds and more,  like Carlisle St Bazaar as seen in this shot below.

Vanessa who runs the bazaar told me that fashion icon Mary Renshaw who had a close relationship with Bon Scott of AC/DC has a stall in the bazaar that focuses on 80’s pieces, sequins in particular.
If you visit make sure you check out Mary’s selections, they are really reasonably priced and the stories behind the clothes are themselves worthy of a much higher price tag.

Chilling at Monk Bodhi Dharma, find it if you can!
