Back to reality…

Le sigh- fashion week is over and it’s back to a normal life for the first time in almost two weeks. I’ve still got a bit of a fashion week hang over in that there is still work coming out of all the shows last week, but it is nice to be home and working again.

These magnolias are from my back garden and are in full bloom at the moment, I thought they went well with my sun-ray pleat blouse.

In other news I’m looking for a new book for book club this month, any suggestions?

  1. Love your outfit. The vintage (looking?) white top with the casually rolled up jeans and lady-like shoes. Love, love, love it!

  2. The Book Thief

  3. I love all your suggestions, I’ve finally got around to responding in a newer blog post 🙂

  4. Love the relaxed yet really well put together outfit! I’m reading one true thing by anna quindlen for the second time because it’s such a beautiful and touching book.

  5. Stunning, my lady!

I am currently reading ‘The Carrie Diaries’ because it has tackiest cover and I love it. It’s a fun book to read 🙂

  6. “Elegance” by Kathleen Tessaro. It might be difficult to come across – but it is one of the best books I’ve ever read in my life. I go back an re-read it at least once a year. I think you’ll enjoy it.

Loving the ensemble today – the blouse and the jeans work really well together – the shoes tie it all together.

  7. Recently I read “The Innocent Man ” by John Grisham, and I was impressed about the story. It is inspired by a true story.

  8. The Solitaire Mystery is the most enchanting book I have ever read. The most beautiful and clever story.

    xx

  9. I love the flowers! I just finished reading Interview with a Vampire, beats Twilight any day!

  10. Campaign Ruby by Jessica Rudd. The start of the book is a little poignant for what’s been happening in Australia’s politics over the last few months.

  11. what i loved – siri hustveldt

    such a beautiful book!

  12. The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon is an incredible book. It’s about the life and struggles of two cousins who create a comic book called the Escapist. It spans 1930s through WWII and beyond and its just beautifully written.

Check it out on amazon.com. I haven’t done it justice trying to explain it. My best read this year, hands down.

  13. love your look today Lady Melbourne.. I have a similar style blouse from Malene Birger. I just read Eat, Pray, Love and enjoyed it.

  14. The Time Travellers Wife by Audrey Niffenegger or The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Both oldies…but amazing.

  15. the new Lionel Shriver. (So much for that.)
    or… The 19th Wife

  16. middlesex – Jeffrey Eugenides (if you haven’t read already)

  17. My son was born in the Spring and we planted a Magnolia tree in our front garden in the hope that it would blossom every year but alas my green fingers let me down and I have to admire my neighbours instead.
