My friend Shi Shi and I were walking down Bourke St today and she took me into Tokuya which is like a Japanese $1 shop. As we clearly aren’t in Japan the prices differ but there isn’t anything over $5.
When I saw the stand of lashes I gasped: $3.50 a piece is the kind of price I pay when I’m in Singapore or Hong Kong, I’m yet to have found them that cheap in Melbourne however so naturally I stocked up.

hmm, i work right near there, I’ll have to check these out tomorrow! I’ve gone so long without fake eyelashes because they’re half the price in america as they are here. so yay for this post!
There is also a new similar store to this called “Daiso” in Abbortsford on Victoria St (same center as Aldi) You can also pick up cheap eyelashes too!

Haha Tokuya is great. Not so much for the false eyelashes (for me) but the great kitsch/useful cycling gear they have hidden in the back corner!
