Big Day Out on the Goldy!

As you all know from my absence last week from blogging, I’ve been up north spending time on some of Australia’s most spectacular beaches. And before you wonder whether this is sponsored by Tourism Australia it’s not: I simply love the northern beaches of NSW and Queensland.

When I wasn’t barefoot in shorts and a singlet I was doing things on the opposite scale of the spectrum: Hair done at Oscar Oscar and then high tea at Palazzo Versace on the Gold Coast.

My hair stylist Nikia who you can find at Oscar Oscar in Pacific Fair.

Stephanie Manning who is the Marketing Communications Manager for Palazzo Versace(and who invited me to tea!), myself and the gorgeous Sharona from Oscar Oscar. She always looks after me and made sure I had the best time for my big day out.

Can you guess how many I ate? In the general vicinity of ‘all’ would be correct.

I was indulged with a luxury Palazzo Versace S.P.A petite  manicure and foot treatment, chilled face spray, SPF 30+ sunscreen lotion and cold towels. Seasonal fruit selection, still or sparkling water and a chilled bottle of Cloudy Bay ‘Pelorus’ sparkling wine. I’m sipping on a Mai Tai here because well, why not?

I’ve always wanted to go to the Palazzo – I have this recurring fantasy that I’ll bump into Donatella and she’ll decide to adopt me and we’ll spend the rest of eternity swanning about gorgeous Palazzos and generally being magnificent…

    *sigh*

I am planning on taking a trip there in 2011 – though how I’ll afford this on my future student wages I have no idea.

    Xx
