As silly as it sounds, I made a decision at the end of 2010 to wear more blue. I’ve been a huge fan of black and white for years but realised that it just didn’t do much for the complexion as say a complimentary colour to your skin tone.

There are some colours that I don’t wear, in fact I don’t even own clothes in that colour(brown, yellow and pink come to mind) but I do like to wear blue and it’s been quite revelatory how much people respond to the colour. Whether it’s the calming effect or the notion that blue conjures up the sky or the ocean most people like it.

I’m wearing:
Cardigan: Laura Ashley
Dress: Stitches but it’s second hand
Bag: River Island from Asos
Beads: A gift and I made the white ones
Camelia: Chanel
Heels: Zomp

I Like it you look so Lady !!!

  3. Wearing a colour makes you and everyone around you feel so much happier. Years ago a made a bright pink cocktail dress, and I would always get people-especially guys- telling me it was so refreshing to see a bright colour in a sea of black.
Thanks for reminding me. I’ve spent too long in that sea of black!

  4. Pretty outfit! Blue is a lovely colour to wear, my fav dress is a duck egg blue 50’s prom dress, and it feels great to switch to these colours if you’re used to lots of black and white for sure. I have recently been loving creams and pale dusky colours too, they are so light and breezy for summer don’t you think? xox Anna

  5. That colour blue looks lovely on you. I was only looking at your blog yesterday for inspiration as I embrace my natural pale skin, rather than fake tan. That shade is definitely a hit with your colouring!
