Ah readers, why am I smiling like an idiot with bright yellow nails in today’s post? I’ll tell you why.
I was driving on one of Melbourne’s busiest roads today, The Nepean Hwy to be exact when I ran out of petrol. How this happened is beyond me because normally I’m pretty good with that type of thing but today, for some reason I literally forgot to fill up the tank before the car literally stopped in the middle of the highway.
To my mortification I had to run across 8 lanes in total to get to the petrol station to fill up the jerry can with fuel. So not ladylike but when I went to pay I noticed that BP were selling 3 nail polishes for $6. Who was I to refuse a beauty bargain when my car was unattended on a busy high way with the hazard lights flashing.
I bought this colour which I’ve been after for quite a while as well as fluro pink and pale blue. Some things were meant to happen no?

I feel your pain. Last year I ran out of petrol going around a busy, single lane-d roundabout. Embarrassment! x
