Frost Design Lunch at the National Gallery

was invited along to the National Gallery of Victoria(NGV) today for the Frost Design lunch to celebrate their collaboration in the NGV’s 150th year. I was sat between Alyx Gorman, fashion editor at thevine.com.au and Yeojin Bae and her husband Jean-Francois. There were all sorts of interesting people about and the food was of course delightful.

The sky was dark and ominous with rain so I swapped my sunnies for my opaque tights as an after thought just before I left the house. As is generally the case in Melbourne the sun came out and dried up all the rain so I was a little bit warm but I guess you simply never know what to expect living here.

I’m wearing:
Dress: Etsy
Trench: Zara
Umbrella: Oroton
Boots: Sportsgirl
Bag: Mimco
Watch: Longines
Necklace: It’s a mish mash and old necklaces, trinkets and a bracelet a friend bought me back from Cyprus.

  1. Our names are so similar! If I squint it looks like I was on the place card!

  2. I’m a huge fan of Vince Frost, I used to follow him around (talks and the like, not stalking, ha) when I was a student studying Graphic Design, his work still influences me

You look hot by the way

    Sleekit x

  3. We love how you have styled up your necklace and given it your personal touch.

  4. Oh it was definitely trench weather yesterday! I had mine on over my work clothes… kept me nice and dry in the awful rainy peak-hour commute in to Melbs!

  5. Lovely look. I have a Zara trench that I bought In Argentina (where did you buy yours as there is no Zara in Australia) and it is a bit stained with some pink nailpolish I can not remove. boohoo
It is a small world I went to school with Yoejin Bae’s sister (she was in my year in Sydney), I think she is a talented designer but do not have any of her clothing yet!

  6. Love your outfit! Cute!

  7. I love the bright umbrella! Everyone carries around basic black ones but there’s nothing nicer than a sea of bright umbrellas on a rainy day!

  8. Love the colour combo and the trench I gotta get one!! I have that same umbrella x 2. They are fab umbrellas.

  9. You always surprised us with the combinations you made.

  10. Amazing as always. The burst of red is such a great way to go and you look great in it.

Just wondering how you find the umbrella? I’m sick of buying cheap umbrellas that inevitably explode and leave me sodden and cranky – and I’ve been toying with buying one from Oroton… A recent purchase?

    Xx

Can you explain what you mean by “It’s a mish mash and old necklaces, trinkets and a bracelet”. I need to be more creative with my jewelery πŸ˜›
