That’s an old marketing slogan for tourism Queensland but for most people who’ve been on a holiday along the east coast of Australia in Queensland it’s a fairly accurate description. For the first time this year I booked a break straight after fashion week because by the end of it I am generally exhausted and usually end up sick.
Not having enough time to get myself further abroad I’ve been to many places on the Queensland coast so knew that I could have a holiday somewhere special ‘in your own backyard’ so to speak.
Here are just a few shots of my little break…
This has been my spot where I’ve checked my emails and blogged every day. Love a pool deck with free wi-fi!
All of the bathroom products are MOR.

Love Queensland, it’s my home, even though I only get back to Oz once a year. Was it Cairns you stayed at?
Isn’t it amazing how it’s only just entered into Spring but you can enjoy a poolside holiday at this time of year 🙂

Creating a really well written/done blog takes a LOT of work….
Have a great day sweety:)
Where is your polka dot dress from? It’s so gorgeous!
That dress matches so well with your location. And what a great place to check your email… as long as you don’t get water on your laptop!
Oooh! If you don’t mind mentioning, where did you stay? I would love to take a few days off and go up to Queensland, and I’m looking for ideas!
It is so true. I grew up and have lived most of my life on the east coast of QLD. I miss the beautiful weather terribly since being in Melbourne. These are great photos. The grey polka dot dress is so lovely. Glad to hear that you’ve had a wonderful break. I’m going on a week’s holiday tomorrow. So fingers crossed, I too can enjoy lovely sunny and relatively warm weather.
