This week’s give away is so special I’m almost bursting! It’s quite rare that I would put a photo like this on the blog because I don’t do the whole behind-the-scenes thing but this particular give away couldn’t happen without it. I use a wide range of equipment to create the images that you see on the blog and even did a video recently due to popular demand.

I have always wanted to get a professional lighting kit. I want one that has the best quality lighting! I tried to make my own set, but it just isn’t the same. My pictures don’t turn out good enough because the lighting is low.
This prize would make such a wonderful difference to my photography, I am the accessory & fashion designer for my label Crazy Teapot, and I do all the styling and photography for my online store http://www.crazyteapot.com/ I am learning a lot but so far to date most of my lighting is natural lighting as I work on a super tight budget so spending on such items is just not possible until my label grows.

What an amazing product & prize! This would totally chane the way I shoot. Having just started to take all our lookbook & blog photos myself (how very Karl, haha!) I’ve realized that living in an apartment and also not getting home till after 6pm means that my pics are so poorly lit. This product would change that completely. I could shoot effectively whenever I want and not be at the mercy of the available light. This means better blog posts (& more frequent), better facebook pics & much better lookbooks. And no more expensive equipment hire and no more lugging heavy equipment up three flights of stairs. My back will thank you as will my readers 🙂

I am in need of a professional light set up as the photos that I feature on my blog are usually dark and simply terrible due to our apartment having terrible lighting.
My husband is sick of me telling him “quick there is good light outside” when I want him to run on the balcony and take an outfit photo. Poor guy. Maybe I could put a stop to my mirror/lift shots too!

I used to do a what a wore today blog with my friend, but had to pull out because my apartment has dismal natural lighting, and it was frustrating to see my pictures either grainy from too high an ISO, blurry from having to use a long shutter speed, or just dark in general. This lighting kit would help me start getting exciting about taking pictures again, as it would help me to take gorgeous photos, which are always a motivation.
I’m not quite sure if I can enter as I’m from New Zealand but OMG I hope I can. I keep getting asked to take people’s portraits etc and I always feel like I am not fully equipped to get those fabulous shots – other than using natural light from the window. This would totally change my world.
I live in a house bursting with creative endeavour – paintings, sculptures, drawings, quilts, frocks & paper crafts. All attempts at photographs fail to do any of it justice. This kit would light up our photography endeavours and my blog posts!

At the moment, I’m using an infinity wall made with recycled paper rolls.
My lighting kit is made with empty paint cans, concrete, timbre dowling and tungsten lights from Bunnings.
My softboxes are hand made from stretched sheer fabric and ikea storage boxes.
How will this lighting kit change my photography – it will definitely help to put my confused and rather disappointed looking models at ease… 😉

oh my goodness what wouldn’t it change? It would quite simply make all of my photos better – living in an apartment building does not for good photos make!! I am obsessed with photos for my blog but I am always a bit sad when they turn out dodgy, you start to get over it! A photography kit would be an enormous help!

With this lighting kit I could finally go freelance and start up my own miniature studio set-up and better myself as a growing photographer. I could take it everywhere, be adventurous, take the lights on location and get hella creative!

My blog suffers all through winter from a lack of beautiful natural sunlight to take my outfit posts. I find myself a ghost with a black outline from the horrendous flash on my camera, or a blurry haze. I’ve also taken to interior photography recently, and shooting dreamy still lifes is hard without the perfect light. Waiting for it is a frustrating process, with a limited window to work in.
This would make my like a million times easier.
Your competition comes at the perfect time… I have just bought myself a Canon EOS 600D and I have been considering expanding my blog to cover all my cooking adventures – not just macarons.
I have found in the past that it is difficult to photograph food as the wrong lighting does not make food look very appetising.
I would LOVE this lighting kit, was just looking into them. I love taking photos for my blog however have been finding lighting and backdrop a challenge as i only have small windows of opportunity (with the daylight) and live in an apartment, so this would really give me heaps of more options for all the pics i want to take!! I want to experiment with all different types of lighting scenarios, both natural and artificial, to take still lifes, portraits, and anything else I may feel like. This kit would help me to do that. I’m always interested in new equipment and new techniques, provided I can figure out how to use them!
Oh to win a prize like this! I recently moved studios but unfortunately the lighting is much poorer in my new space and my outfit photos are not anywhere near as nicely lit. I try my best to compensate in photoshop but I hate editing my images to such an extent and it often leaves them grainy.
As I wear a lot of black it’s important to have the best quality lighting possible to highlight the detail in my outfits.
Moreover, this prize would be perfect for impromptu shoots for my jewellery label as I currently don’t have anywhere suitable for “in house” shoots, enabling me to get new products up sooner which benefits everybody!

Wow! What an amazing giveaway. I will be getting a new DSLR camera for Christmas. This equipment along with the camera could really change the visual appearance of my blog and also allow me to become much more confident in my abilities to photograph and take really good shots that I can be super proud to share. This would be something i’d love to win, it would change my OOTD drastically. I’ve recently split from my partner & moved back home with my parents, so not only did I lose my photographer, I lost my camera. Good thing though, I now have a digital SLR! This set up would make the whole OOTD post so much easier, I have the camera, I have the remote, but my backgrounds are often lacking.
