Wearing: Limedrop Silk Waterfall Cape Top and Sheer 3/4 Skirt
Limedrop designers Clea Garrick and Nathan Price create their collections from the most amazing studio based in Melbourne’s Fitzroy. Aside from their workspace and collections the space has little kitsch elements dotted around the place and the longer you are there, the more you tend to discover as you can see from the photos below.
Together they have created a men’s and womenswear line known for its use of clear lines, bold colours, structured pieces and curious proportions. Above I’m wearing a waterfall cape top that flutters along behind you as you walk but is cropped at the front- business up front, party out the back you could say.
They have an online store that for all you readers overseas is well worth checking out and there may or may not be a rather fabulous sale coming up. Just sayin!
I always love to share with you hidden fashion treasures from Melbourne and Limedrop is just one of those. Their star is on the rise having taken out the Chambord Shine Awards last year (covered here on Lady Melbourne), hosting pop up shops and showing at Australian Fashion Week. Melbourne based, if Limedrop aren’t already on your radar they should be.
Above and below is the current collection that’s available in their online store.
Flowers from their recent pop up shop in Sydney.
A sneak peek at next seasons fabric.
And just because they are gorgeous people we’re hosting a give away that could see you win this beautiful silk shirt below. The print is $1 and $2 Australian gold coins and I’m told took quite a lot of work to generate.
To be in the running all you have to do is:

Ever since I discovered Limedrop at Finders Keepers a few of years ago I’ve loved the label and then was lucky enough to be seated front row at RAFW this year when I ran in late to the show! Loved this years collection and that coin print is the coolest. The frill dress in the same print is my favourite I think but those hot shorts and nude skirts are adorable.

SPIN DIZZY FALL
The sleeveless tail shirt because I am all about perpetuating anything that says party in the front, business in the back!
I’m crazy about the silk cape dress and tail skirt on the online shop, sorry can’t just pick one! I’m smitten with the pattern on the dress and the colour and cut of the skirt!
Although if I had to pick one all time favourite, I very sorely regret not picking up the great pleated/flared (I’m not great with terminology) leather skirt from their SS 10/11 Far From Home collection!
I’m in love with the Croissant Maxi Dress, in Dragonfruit. Perfect colour for summer.
The gold silk bomber jacket! I love pieces that stand out and are a statement in themselves. Lime drop certainly know how to make this happen.
My favourite piece on their online store is actually the shirt you’ve got in this competition! Can already imagine what I’d like to wear it with.. mmm..
The comments on this post are for those wishing to enter the competition. It’s uncool and unchic to comment on peoples appearance so I’ve deleted all comments in relation to that kind of thing- you know who you are.
Lets keep things nice peeps!
The bustier dress is cute!
sleeveless tail shirt! fabulous. looking forward to returning to Melbourne in 2012! (Nepal’s shopping is cheap, but nowhere near as wonderful!)
I really love Sleeveless Tail Shirt!
My favourite piece from the Limedrop website is definitely the dragonfruit/black croissant maxi dress – perfect for the stormy early summer weather in Melbourne! Would also coordinate excellently with any of the floral headpieces or wooden necklaces on the website. Limedrop is my fave. xx
Loving the sleeveless tail shirt!
