So last night was the opening parade for L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival which was kind of exciting in that I got to meet some wonderful bloggers. I found the fashion a yawn fest, it was an edit of what is available in store right now at David Jones, one of Australia’s leading department stores. Being the principal sponsor I can understand that they had rights to host the opening parade, but it was sort of like seeing a catalogue come to life right in front of me.
The most impressive part for me was the edit of Australian caftan doyenne Camilla and in particular the jewellery with which is was styled. The digital prints, sequins and scarves seemed to mesh together in a way that could be worn as a complete look, or picked apart and mixed with your every day wardrobe.
I had my camera in hand as you can see from the photo above but I thought Cheryl from Businesschic.com.au did a much better job so have included her handy work below.
