Chambord Shine Awards at Loft, Sydney

The Chambord Shine Awards 2010 program continued last night at The Loft in Sydney. At the event hosted by Mink Sadowsky of Chadwick Models I met some amazing people, Michelle Jank was one of many. So ridiculously excited! Here I am in St Augustine Academy's 'The Band of Hope & Glory' lace dress from their SS10-11 collection. I was really excited about wearing the dress, specially as it's white and I wouldn't normally go for a white dress. This one however is really special :) All my jewellery is by Minty meets Munt and it was so hard to return this morning to their agent- I was loving myself sick dripping and jangling in silver all night. I even told someone who luckily was a Kath & Kim fan. Could have been awkward otherwise!

July Reading

It's been far too long since I've written about my monthly reading list so as it is the beginning of the month I thought I might kick things off by mentioning what's on for July. It's my turn in book club to choose a book so in an attempt to pick something no one has yet read I chose M.J. Hyland's 'This is How,' which is on the new release list. I haven't poked my nose inside it as yet but by all accounts it looks fab.

Lady M visits the new Fleur Wood store at GPO

Yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting the new Fleur Wood store at Melbourne's GPO in Bourke St. Fleur was there to help launch the shop and it was over coffee that she explained the new fit out to me. "There are about 180 vintage and antique mirrors in the store sourced from op-shops and antique stores all over NSW hanging on the walls of this shop alone. The feeling that you have 'found' something unique is really important to the Fleur Wood philosophy."

One night at Cloudland: Chambord Shine Awards Brisbane

As you can already tell from my posts of the last couple of days, Hayley and I had the pleasure of being flown up to Brisbane to attend the Chambord Shine Awards 2010at Cloudland on Tuesday evening. George Wu, Talulah and Jacqueline Buck were chosen by a panel of judges to succeed to the next round in Sydney but really the standard was so high any of the entrants could have been put through.
