Little things

I’ve been really sick this weekend, which is handy in a way because it means your work week isn’t interrupted. On the other hand it means you get zero done and I’d planned a weekend of photography as it was so sunny yesterday. Not a great deal can be done about my health or the weather however so as I lay on the couch today I thought about some of my favourite things that I use every day or that make me happy. I’ve also got a few new things recently that haven’t yet appeared on the blog so I lay them out and took some photos. Still a little unwell but it made me smile to think about why they make me happy.

I accidentally stumbled upon these silver/grey snakeskin booties on eBay recently while I was doing a search for something completely unrelated. They took a month to arrive but I’ve already pulled them on and worn them a couple of times.

Out to dinner recently one of my friends handed me a Sportsgirl bag and said ‘This is for you!’ This belt was inside and I was all sorts of thrilled, specially when she told me she found it on sale for $2. Not sure whether I like the belt or the superb bargain hunting more!

This Natio Mineral Illuminating powder is discontinued, they have a new line of liquid mineral products which is just as good but this powder changed my life. I love it and wear it all the time.

I’ve been wearing this L’Or de Torrente perfume since 2002 when I discovered it while I was living and working in Sydney. David Jones sold it for a while before discontinuing it so now I have to buy it online. Why they stopped selling it is beyond me- of all the things I ‘wear’ and am complimented on this by far and away outshines the rest. So much so that I’ve bought it for friends as a gift over the years and everyone has loved it. Big call but it’s true!

This is a Tiffany bracelet that my girlfriends gave to me for a significant birthday. I’m not really a typical ‘Tiffany’ wearer so I added the silver medallion and I wear it almost every day around my neck on a chain that belonged to Mother Melbourne. Somehow it’s even more special to me now.
