That Y.A.S Apparel red dress to be exact. I bought it last year to wear to the spring racing carnival and it only arrived at 5pm the day before I was supposed to wear it. Phew! I hadn’t worn it since for a couple of reasons – this shade of red doesn’t really suit my complexion(so why did I buy it you may ask) and it’s just so, well, bright.
So when to wear it then? Fashion week of course! It caught my eye because it’s a statement piece, so I feel it needed a grand occasion. People loved the colour, it really evoked a reaction. Maybe because we just wear soooooo much black here in Melbourne? In any case I took the plunge with the purchase knowing it wouldn’t suit my colouring but going for it anyway.
And I’m happy I did!
In other news, here’s a look inside the Priceline Beauty Bar, which if you follow me on Instagram you’ll know I spent quite a bit of time in over the week. It was grand, luxurious, light filled and just a delight to hang around. I spied my comrades Estelle from Micky In The Van and Jess from What Would Karl Do while hitting the pavement. Don’t they look amazing?
Overall it was a great week with lots of catching up, champas, parades and of course fashun darling.
