Here’s some great products that have come across my desk of late that are sure to have you primped and preened to perfection!

MODEL CO. LASH & LINE SUPERLASH MASCARA + LIQUID LINER

So this is akin to the good old two-in-one shampoo and conditioner, remember that from the 90s? In this you get the usual mascara wand, but on the other end is a liquid eyeliner with super fine brush.

I liked using it, the only thing is that the wand part of the liner is short, it’s basically just the lid so when you’re applying the liner, your hand is really close to your face. Does that make sense?! If you’re used to using a pencil or different kind of application, it might take a bit of getting used to, but that said it’s such a handy solution if you’re travelling or need both on the go.

PHILLIPS EASYSHINE IONIC STYLING BRUSH

So from the outset I need to say that this brush is aimed at people who struggle with frizzy hair, something I don’t. I have dead straight hair naturally that I don’t colour. That said, there’s no harm in giving something new a try right?!

The brush uses an ionizer to generate negative ions that neutralise the positive charge of static electricity. It helps to reduce frizz and bring back smoothness and shine to your hair instantly.

I found that it certainly made my hair appear smooth, but if anything it was a handy addition to my beauty gadgetry as it fits in your handbag easily. Phillips Easyshine Ionic Styling Brush | www.ladymelbourne.com.au

ASAP MOISTURISING DAILY DEFENCE SPF50+

I love moisturiser with a high SPF factor, as I’ve written about many times before. I believe it’s truly the first line of defence against ageing, so the earlier you start to put SPF on your face EVERY DAY(yes, everyday!), the better. For me it was when I was 20, and of course I wish I’d started earlier.

I digress, this product also provides UVA and UVB protection with hyaluronic acid as the feature ingredient to promote hydration. I like it because you don’t need to use a huge amount, so it goes a long way. It’s Australian made, not tested on animals and safe to use during pregnancy. A product I’m happy to recommend having used it for about two months because it actually works!

NATURA SIBERICA OBLEPIKHA SHAMPOO MAXIMUM VOLUME

The herbs and berries that grow in Siberia have been used by locals for centuries to protect skin and hair. Natura Siberica is bringing them to an international audience through their organic farming practices, where they harvest berries and herbs native to the Siberian area.

There’s no SLS, no parabens and they don’t use GMO plants. But what’s it like to use?

The smell is the first thing that hits you, for whatever reason it was passionfruit for me(pregnancy hormones?!) but I’m attributing that to the main ingredient altai sea-buckhorn berry.

I don’t use conditioner and found that my hair has been cleansed and left soft and shiny with no need to use anything else. You don’t need to use a lot, so for $17.95 it’s pretty good value and should last you for a while depending on how much you wash your hair. I love it!Natura Siberica products | www.ladymelbourne.com.au
