Marie Claire hosted a lunch yesterday that was not in the food court at Melbourne Central, but rather the, ahem, dining hall. I could still smell maccas so as far as I’m concerned….
I digress, the venue as you can see below was rather special, and we were seated in a part of the centre that is newly redeveloped with mosaic art designed by Philip Chia. I was lucky enough to tour the centre a couple of months back showcased it on the blog and had never really seen a space like this transformed into what could have been a restaurant sitting in the middle of a food cour DINING HALL. The flowers were divine, the cupcakes delicious and I had the pleasure of sitting opposite the face of Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, Sophie Van den Akker.

The .. er .. dining hall looks like a pretty space (regardless of the maccas smell). The cupcakes are so dainty and divine!
