This dress belonged to Mother Melbourne who bought it in the late 60s here in Melbourne. It’s sat in my wardrobe for possibly 10 years and I’ve never worn it. Until today.
I pulled it out a couple of weeks ago with the intention of wearing it to the Obus party at fashion week that was Mexican inspired, but at the last minute changed my mind. I hadn’t tried it on for years however and felt inspired to finally pull it on and get some wear out of it. Plus I’m hoping to present a whole range of dresses and ‘looks’ for you during Frockober.

For some reason it makes me think of oktoberfest! The necklaces you have on seems like it was made specifically for the dress! Intresting & bold, but totally not my style (I prefer the short dresses) 😀 You wear it well, though.
