The sun was most excellent last Sunday, so I took the opportunity to don this embroidered number and some light sandals and hit the local park.
Being in one of Melbourne’s inner-city parks when the spring weather is perfect always makes me feel lucky to live in this beautiful city of mine. My local park’s trees are always full of cheeky lorikeets and there’s plenty of room to stretch out on a rug in the shade of a gum with a book and a few tasty things to eat. It’s the perfect way to enjoy hours of doing not much at all but simply be there, among the parrots.
Anyway, as I lay there with my hands under my head staring up through the branches of my favourite gum, I realised how much I’ve missed wearing raw cotton. Perhaps it’s a symptom of having just gone through a particularly arduous winter, but, yeah, whatevs. Bring on more cotton-wearing, park-attending weather, I say.

If I’m really honest I just pulled down the straps of the one I was wearing! This dress can be worn two ways (of course I didn’t think to photograph it!!) so in order to keep my pregnancy boobs in check I wear it with a proper bra, and the neckline above my shoulders. Hoping that eventually they’ll be a time in my life when I can just throw it on without a care in the world as to undergarments….something tells me those days might be behind me!!
