Shopping Independent Labels

Soon Maternity make gorgeous clothes that can be worn long after the baby bump is gone. This dress is a fab example, in some of the outtakes I don’t even look pregnant! The denim range is also really impressive (more of that to come!) but I also love that it’s a Melbourne based label, who even continue to manufacture some of their range right here in the heart of the city.

Similarly to yesterdays post about the hand made sandals from St.Tropez, I just love finding brands that are big enough to operate on a global scale (thank you internet) while still remaining true to their roots.

Not to be outdone by an indie Australian or French brand, the sunglasses come to you all the way from Scotland via a brand called Tens. The brain child of four creative friends, Tens is inspired by their love for enhancing digital images and video. Wanting to create a way to filter their view they’ve successfully developed the perfect sense-heightening lens tint. It’s essentially, a real life photo filter.

The ‘Cruiser’ pictured here, gives off a yellow/orange hue, but because of the quality of the lens you see everything in sharp relief. So it really is like looking at the world through a Photoshop filter.
