Melbourne Spring Fashion Week opening gala paraded down the catwalk last night with some of Australia’s finest couturiers showing their skills in occasion wear.
With pared back styling courtesy of Kate Gaskin, the clothes were left to speak for themselves – and that they did – with a fair dose of feathers, sequins, lace and tulle on display. Sometimes with parades like this, the detail can get lost in pictures, but as you can see from the outstanding backstage photography below (thank-you Lucas Dawson!), it’s a detail-loaded collection this season. Truly outstanding!
