This dress? It isn’t a dress at all, in fact it’s a top and skirt of the same fabric that I’ve put together to look like a dress. I’ve been learning a bit about how to dress for your body shape lately and apparently one block colour is more flattering to my figure than say, broken up shapes or colours (think jacket and pants) or a large, splashy print. Not that I make it my business to wear those clothes, but it is interesting to learn about how to put your best fashion foot forward.
I’ve been learning from Melbourne based Jo Shiers of The Style Adviser, but there is also heaps of information online if you are so inclined. As I say to my students, make Google your friend!

Oh I had help from The Gardener for this one, but yes I probably should do an e-book of the sorts after all these years!
Hey Olivia! I’m wearing AB lipstick in ‘Impulse,’ here’s the link for you: https://www.ab-makeup.com/product/luxury-lipstick
Hi Lady M! Enjoyed reading your article (as always!). I loved your look for this photo shoot. Which lipstick/ lipgloss did you wear in your photos?
You look amazing and of course thank you for the shout out and acknowledgment. Although I know you take 99% of your own photos but I am constantly mesmerised at their quality and creativeness. Perhaps you would think about writing an e-book on “DIY Photography” because girlfriend – you are an expert at it. xxx
Oh Krystal I hear you! I can’t wear satin, I look like a lump of jelly trying to fit into a stocking! I think a heavier lace like this one is ‘kinder’ if you like, I certainly don’t wear skin tight sheer lace *shudders* 😉
Exactly what I was going for!
Very Dolce & Gabbana Sicilian widow of you!
Of course you look stunning, I can’t pull off lace, never have been able to. As I’ve aged I’ve come to learn what looks good and what just doesn’t work on my body shape. I would have looooved a lace mermaid style wedding dress but when I tried one on I resembled a lump of jelly trying to fit in a stocking, so ended up with a-line satin for the main gown but managed to get some lace shoulders onto the second gown 🙂
