an you tell that I love accessories? No?!
Most of my outfits start with what accessories I’m going to wear that day be it a bag, shoes or jewellery. Most outfits are centering around this necklace that I’ve talked about in this post, but I cannot get enough of it at the moment. I’d wear it to bed if I could.
I don’t really mind wearing second hand or vintage clothes, always shopping hard for the best little gems I can find, but my money goes into my accessories and always has. What do you invest in? I’d be curious to know because I think the general rule is that you do the opposite!
Bag: Oroton
Heels: Vicenza
Necklace: Ottoman Treasures
Bracelets: Ritual
Chinos: Sussan…I know!
Jacket: Raoul
T-shirt: Barkins
Watch: Longines. It was a very special birthday present earlier in the year 🙂

I love that jacket … do you know of anywhere with anything similar at the moment? I’m very short waisted so can’t wear long jackets … needing a white or neutral one for spring!
Ohh! I adore your outfit today!

I am (like most other women) shoe crazy. I will spend hours chosing what shoes to wear for the day then just throw on something (that apparently looks great) that matches with my shoes.
I have just recently started wearing heels again so I’m going to have to sneak in some wedges then because I’ve just trained my feet to walk in them again!
Hahaha I just saw you in Friday’s MX 😀 Good advice re: Spring cleaning – must get on that 🙂
this girl looks stunning the cloth fit nicely and the accessories are great finnishing touches
Definitely accessories, a good ring will last you for life but a sweater wont!
great outfit!
I don’t get to wear as much accessories as I would like because I don’t often want to look way too overdress for certain occassions. It doesn’t stop me from buying them though 😀
For me, the day’s outfit mostly begins with feeling in a certain mood for a certain handbag, then maybe the shoes…clothes then to follow in a theme….ah, accessories are just fabulous!
I must admit, I am still a little scared with accessories as I don’t want to over do it 😛 so I tend to keep it simple…some times too simple!
As for investments, for me it’s bags and shoes.
I spend on accessories too, creates the illusion that my wardrobe is bigger than it actually is….only problem is I have too many and not enough space to display them as I’d like to ie big massive walk in wardrobe, mm maybe one day when the kids leave home!
Have a good weekend : )

Rusty Hoe- that is too funny!! 😉 I like what you said about it having to feel right, does that apply to impulse buying though?!?! They always seem to feel right.
Ellie- Ha! Welded to your back, love it! My leather jacket went everywhere with me last winter. I don’t mind splashing on classics either.
Ashleah- yeah me too 🙂 Glad you like the video, I keep meaning to put it on the blog.
I’d much rather spend more on accessories that will last, i’m too rough on my clothes to invest too much, but a sturdy handbag & tough boots make me feel put together.
I was just on the Westfield website & saw your video interview with Mimco, it was great!
I’m a good little thrifter… But I’m probably happiest to splash on classics that I know will come out season after season, like the leather jacket currently welded to my back, or some really well cut dress that will manage a 50s dance or a summers day… For a few years.
Accessories are fantastic. I only buy pieces if when I look at them I can picture a whole outfit. No inspiration equals no buy. I don’t tend to buy on trend, more on what feels right. Makes for much cheaper purchasing. Mind you I have banned myself from buying any more scarves, it was getting to the stage that I was becoming the Imelda Marcos of scarves and my husband threatened to stage an intervention. 🙂
Hey, Sussan has some good pieces, just not ready to go head to toe befoer I’m 50!
